Mr. Werbner has tried approximately 150 cases to verdict over a 30-year career, including a dozen verdicts of $1 million or more. He gained international attention for his role in a high-profile trial in which he secured a historic jury verdict against a Middle Eastern bank for providing material financial support to terrorists.
Recently, he was part of a legal team that successfully prosecuted a False Claims Act case against Texas Heart Hospital of the Southwest. Mr. Werbner also represented a Forest Park Medical Center founding physician accused in a high-profile fraud and kickback scheme.
Recent accomplishments include recognition by the Chambers USA 2021 legal guide for his work involving commercial litigation, an honor he has earned since 2013. In addition, he has earned repeat recognition by Benchmark Litigation and Texas Super Lawyers.
